The Governing Board of Fusion for Energy (F4E), the European Union’s organization managing Europe’s contribution to ITER, has decided to appoint Pietro Barabaschi as Acting Director of F4E with effect from March 1st, 2015, by replacing the outgoing Director, Henrik Bindslev.

Mr Barabaschi, electrical engineer, started his career with the Jet project and later, in 1992, he joined the ITER team in San Diego. By March 2006  he was the deputy to the Project Leader as well as head of the Design Integration Division of the ITER International Team at the Garching German site.
