Reactor for Styrene plant delivered in Thailand

The 2nd Stage Dehydrogenation Reactor fabricated in our production plants in Chieti arrived at its destination by ship in Rayong, Thailand.

Once installed, this reactor measuring 17 meters by 4.5 meters in diameter and weighing about 200 tons, will be one of the most important components within a plant for the production of styrene, an aromatic hydrocarbon that is used as a monomer for the production of plastic materials.

This supply highlights the consolidation of a multi-year partnership with the Customer, for which we have already delivered other reactors, for the same plant, in the recent past.

Thanks to the continuous cooperation between the two companies, the negative impacts of the pandemic affecting the Project’s schedule were almost completely eliminated ”said Nicola Trivulzio, Commercial Director of Walter Tosto SpA.
