We have marked a new milestone in the Vacuum Vessel’s sectors fabrication, the heart of the fusion reactor of the ITER international project. We have just started the completion phase of the four segments making up the first sector. In this regard, the delegates of Fusion 4 Energy – the European body managing the ITER project – arrived in Chieti to check the activities progress and to meet the staff of Walter Tosto’s Nuclear Division.

The director of Fusion 4 Energy, Johannes Schwemmer, said he is very satisfied with the quality of the manufactured segments and the achievements of the last period.

“The commitment of our team is producing excellent results and we are looking forward to seeing our manufactured sectors assembled in France to shape the ITER reactor” commented Massimiliano Tacconelli, Head of Walter Tosto Nuclear Division.
